Service Software for Ascend Bike Shops
Trail Hits™ Hub runs your whole service department alongside Ascend: digital inspections, estimates customers approve by text, and a per-bike service record. It measures how long every bike actually sits in the stand, standalone, with no connection to Ascend required.
Pulling your Ascend work order reports in is in early access. Nothing Trail Hits™ does can alter your tickets, your inventory, or your books.
Know How Long Every Bike Is in the Stand
Ascend tells you what a ticket cost. It does not tell you where the time went.
Every status change is timestamped
Hub records when a work order enters and leaves each of your shop's statuses. The Average Time by Status report turns that into real hours, per status, across whatever period you pick.
Wrenching time separated from waiting
Time in the stand is reported apart from time waiting on parts, warranty, or a customer approval. When a job took two weeks, you can see which of those it actually was.
No POS connection needed
This runs on the statuses your techs move work through in Hub, so it works from your first day, before any Ascend report feed is set up.
What You Run Day One
All of this works alongside Ascend today, with no integration required.
Inspections your techs dictate
A tech talks through what they find at the stand and Hub turns it into a structured inspection. The findings stop evaporating when a customer declines the work and walks out.
Estimates approved by text
Build the estimate, send it, and the customer approves from their phone. No phone tag, and a record of exactly what they agreed to.
A service record the rider keeps
Completed work posts a dated, shop-branded service record to your customer's free Trail Hits™ account, so the history that brings them back lives with your shop's name on it.
Straight Answer on the Ascend Connection
We would rather tell you the constraint than sell you a sync that does not exist.
Ascend's API is a sales feed, not a service API
There is no way to read or update the work orders in your service department, and Trek has said they are not adding one. Any vendor promising you one-tap estimate push into an Ascend ticket is describing something the platform cannot do.
The real path is a report your shop authorizes
The path that does exist: Ascend's support team can build a custom SQL report against your shop's database and deliver it to Trail Hits™ on a schedule, which would bring your work orders, customers, bikes, and per-repair-item start and finish times into Hub. This is in early access. It has to be built per shop, with your authorization, so it is a conversation with Ascend rather than a switch we flip.
Every arrow points one direction
Data flows from Ascend into Trail Hits™ and never the other way. Adding Hub structurally cannot disturb the system your shop already runs on. For most owners evaluating a new tool, that is the part that matters most.
Common Questions
Does Trail Hits™ Hub integrate with Ascend?
Not as a live two-way sync, and we will not describe it as one. Ascend's public API is an e-commerce sales feed, with no way to read or update the work orders in your service department. The supported path is a custom SQL report that Ascend's support team builds against your shop's database and delivers on a schedule, which is in early access and set up per shop rather than switched on. Today an Ascend shop runs Trail Hits™ Hub alongside Ascend: import your customers, run inspections and estimates, and manage the service workflow in Hub.
Can Trail Hits™ Hub track how long a bike is in the stand?
Yes, and it does not need a POS connection to do it. Hub timestamps every status change on a work order, so the Average Time by Status report shows how long work orders sit in each of your shop's statuses, including time in the stand. It separates active work from time spent waiting on parts or customer approval, so a slow turnaround tells you which one it was.
Will Trail Hits™ change anything inside my Ascend system?
No. Ascend's API has no way for us to alter a work order and there is no write path back, so nothing Trail Hits™ does can change your tickets, your inventory, or your books. Every arrow points from Ascend into Trail Hits™. That is Ascend's constraint rather than our choice, and it means adding Hub cannot disturb the system your shop already runs on.
